For many veteran and military families, the battle does not end when the uniform comes off. It simply changes form.
Behind every service member is a family who has quietly carried the weight of sacrifice. Spouses who hold everything together during deployments. Children who grow up too fast. Families who learn to live with absence, uncertainty, and the unseen wounds that follow service home.
At Eagle Rock National Center for Veteran Families, we see you. We honor your journey. And we are here because your healing matters.
A Transformational Year Rooted in Courage and Community
Dear Friends and Family of Eagle Rock,
Because of donors’ generosity, our partners’ dedication, and the courage of the families we serve, last year became a turning point.
Lives were changed. Relationships were restored. New collaborations were formed. And for the first time, we were blessed to begin serving active-duty troops and their families alongside our veterans.
This growth has led us into a renewed identity that reflects who we have become today:
The Eagle Rock National Center for Veteran Families.
And still, we ask ourselves:
Why Eagle Rock? Why now?
The Hidden Struggles Military Families Face Today
Today’s military families are navigating challenges unlike any generation before them.
While service members endure the demands of training and deployment, their families often carry the emotional, relational, and spiritual burdens alone. Support systems are stretched thin. Access to care is limited. Many families wait months or even years just to receive the help they need.
And the truth is difficult, but it must be spoken:
- Suicide rates among veterans and service members continue to rise
- Marriages are breaking under pressure
- Families are quietly struggling with trauma, isolation, and despair
- Even children are feeling the weight of these invisible battles
These are not just statistics. These are real families. Real stories. Real pain.
And they should not have to wait.
Why Eagle Rock Exists
Eagle Rock exists to meet families in their most vulnerable moments and walk with them toward healing.
Our programs are built on three pillars:
- Faith-based guidance that restores hope and spiritual connection
- Peer-led support from those who truly understand military life
- Evidence-driven practices that create lasting transformation
Through these programs, families are able to:
- Build resilience in the face of hardship
- Heal from trauma and emotional wounds
- Strengthen marriages and rebuild trust
- Restore family connections that have been strained or broken
- Reconnect with God and rediscover purpose
- Learn not just to survive, but to truly thrive again
This is where brokenness meets restoration.
This is where families begin to soar again.
A Mission That Includes the Whole Family
Healing is not just for the service member. It is for the entire family.
At Eagle Rock, we recognize that spouses and children are part of the story. Their voices matter. Their healing matters. Their strength is part of what makes military families extraordinary.
When one family heals, generations are changed.
The Urgent Need for Support
As we step into this new chapter, the need has never been greater.
More families are reaching out. More lives are on the brink. And more opportunities to bring healing are right in front of us.
But we cannot do it alone.
Will You Stand With Our Military Families?
Your support can change lives.
When you give, you are helping to:
- Expand life-changing programs to more military bases and communities
- Shorten wait times for families in crisis
- Equip peer leaders and coaches to walk alongside others
- Restore marriages that are on the edge of breaking
- Bring hope, healing, and faith back into homes that need it most
This is more than a donation.
This is a lifeline.
A Place Where Families Can Begin Again
Every military family deserves a place where they can heal without judgment, reconnect without fear, and rediscover hope.
Eagle Rock is that place.
Together, we can ensure that no family is left behind, no story is unheard, and no life is without hope.
Together, we can help them rise.
Together, we can help them soar again.
With heartfelt thanks,
“Miss Lynn” Marilla
